Step 0 - Before you start
You need administrator access to your Atlas account. Creating and editing API keys are admin-only actions.
Step 1 - Creating the API Key
Log into Atlas using an administrator account.
Navigate to the Settings tab from the sidebar.
Click on Company settings
Click on the Developers tab from the sidebar
Navigate to the API keys tab (open by default)
Click on the Create your first API key button
Choose an API Key name. We suggest "Kombo Integration Key"
Choose the Owner of this key. We recommend using a user specifically created for Kombo.
Select the scope for this API key. The scope controls what data Kombo can read.
Select the scope shown in Kombo.
We select 'Read-Write' for the shown scopes.
Click on Create new API key
Editing the API key scope after creating it does not always work. We suggest creating a new key.
Copy the API Key
Step 2 - Connect in Kombo
Paste the API key into the api_key field and click Set up integration
Add an Atlas user email address to enable the create-candidate action. We recommend using a user specifically created for Kombo. Use the same user you set as the API key owner.
Step 3 - Set up webhooks
Copy the Kombo webhook endpoint
In Atlas, in the developer settings (See Step 1), navigate to the Webhook tab
Click on + Add Endpoint
Paste the Kombo webhook endpoint
Select the following events to subscribe to. Refer to the Kombo UI:
