Prerequisites

Before you start, contact your provider to confirm they have completed their ADP Decidium Partner setup.

You need an ADP representative who can approve API access for you.

Receiving credentials from ADP

 To receive credentials, send a request to your ADP representative along with the application scopes:

1. Copy the list of scopes provided in the connection flow: 

   

   Note: The above-listed scopes are just an example. Please make sure you are sharing the scopes displayed in your own connection flow when sharing them with your representative.

2. Send your ADP representative an email asking for the credentials.

   Hey ______,
   
   We are looking to set up an integration with ______ and would require your assistance in receiving credentials.
   
   Would you please be able to provide us with the client_id, and client_secret?
   
   We would require the following scopes:
   
   [ENTER THE SCOPES FROM YOUR CONNECTION FLOW HERE]

   Note: The ADP representative will send the client_id, and client_secret, to your provider. This is the expected process. 

3. Once your provider forwards the credentials to you, open the connection flow and enter them in the client_id and client_secret fields.
