Prerequisites

You'll need to contact Jobvite's customer support to get your API Key and API Secret.

For your convenience, here is a template email you can send to Jobvite:

 

Dear Jobvite,

I would like to request the following details for an API integration to our company's Jobvite account:

- API Key
- API Secret

and also set up a webhook for our instance with the following configuration:

- Public URL: <copy from the connection flow>
- Signing Key: <copy from the connection flow>
 

Please provide these details as soon as possible. Your help is much appreciated.

NOTE: You can find the value of "Public URL" and "Singing Key" to be included in the email in the first step of the connection flow:


 

Set up the connection

1. Paste the "API Key" and the "API Secret" into the connection dialog once you have obtained them from Jobvite, and press "Continue":
   
    
2. In the next step, please select a Workflow Step that you would like the candidate to be assessed on. You can also create a new step if you don't want to use an existing workflow step. Click on "Set up integration" afterwards:
   
   

Finalise the integration

1. Click on the "Setup Custom Fields" step of the setup flow:
   
    
2. Click "Complete setup" to finalise the connection
   
   In this step, we will create the following custom fields in your Jobvite instance:
   - XXX Test Package: A custom field on the Requisition that will hold the assessment package that the candidates should be assessed with for a given job.
   - XXX Test Result: A custom field on the Candidate that will hold the result of the assessment.
