Prerequisites
Please reach your Asymbl Customer Success Manager to request “Client ID” and “Client secret” values.
For your convenience, here is a template email you can send to your Asymbl Manager:
Dear [Asymbl Manager],
I would like to request the following details for an API integration to our company Asymbl account:
Client ID
Client Secret
Please provide these details as soon as possible.
Your help is much appreciated.

[Your Full Name]
[Your Company Name]
Basic instructions
In the connection dialog, you'll get shown the permissions we are requesting from you. Please click on “Continue.
Next, you need to find the instance URL for your Asymbl integration.
This is not the same domain as the one you use to login to Asymbl. Usually it follows the format
<your-instance>.my.salesforce.com.To find it, log in into your instance and click on the "Your profile" button in the top right corner
You will see the instance URL in the popup:
Now, insert this domain into the connection dialog and click "Continue":
On the third step paste the Client ID and the Client secret once you have obtained them and click on "Set up integration":
- After you click “Set up integration” this step will validate that the values were entered correctly.
If you see this confirmation, you are all done, you have successfully linked your account 🎉
Salesforce setup
If you are experiencing problems with connection via received Client ID and Client Secret, please check that your API user has enough permissions.
Go to an App manager and find the Connected App, which was created for you by Asymbl, make sure that "Enable Oauth Settings" is checked:

Make sure that the "Manage user data via APIs (api)" permission is part of Selected OAuth Scopes:
