To follow the instructions below and successfully set up an integration with Paycor to connect your customers, you need to have an active Partnership with Paycor. In your Paycor account, you need to have Admin/HR/Payroll account rights to access Paycor Developer Portal.
Step 1 - Create an Account
- Enter the following URL into a browser: developers.paycor.com.
- Click Sign Up on the home screen for existing Paycor Clients.
- Click Get Started
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Click Sign In.
- Select whom you would like to be, Admin of the Developer Portal Account.
- Click Request Access.
- Click Sign Out.
- Enter your Username and Password.
- Click Sign In.
Note: The account creation process can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Sign out, then sign back in to access Paycor’s Developer Portal.
Once access has been granted to the designated admin, they will receive an email that invites them to our developer portal.
You are now ready to build your first application.
Step 2 - Build Application
- Build applications to gain access to Paycor APIs using the standard OAuth 2.0 flows.
- Click Applications on the home screen to get started
- Click the + Application to create a new application (name the application).
- Click Create Application.
- Copy & Save the Application OAuth Client ID and Application OAuth Client Secret.
- Click Got it.
- Configure Data Access. Copy the APIM Subscription Key from the Security Connections tab.
- Click Save.
Step 3 - Activate Application
Select the environment to activate an application.
Note: In Production, activation must be completed by a Paycor Perform Company/Payroll/HR Admin.
Activation Form
- Enter the Application OAuth Client ID.
- Located on the Application Detail Screen > Security Connections tab
- Enter the Application Scope.
- Located on the Application Detail Screen > General Tab
- Click Initiate.
Review and Approve data access to Client ID
- Review the access being requested based on the application scope.
- Click Next on the verify screen.
- Select the Client to integrate with the application.
- Agree to terms of use.
- Click Integrate.
Step 4 - Enter the credentials into the Kombo Tool section
- Back in the Kombo dashboard, go to the Tools section.
- In the Tool section, type in "Paycor" and click on the arrow on the right.
- To enable the Paycor integration, go to "Settings" and fill out the Partner Credentials. Click Save.
- The integration is now ready for your customer to connect. They will only need to enter their Paycor account username and password to set up the integration.
