1. Ensure Administrative access
Before starting the connection, make sure your user account has access to People First's Administration section by clicking the 9 dots in the left top corner
You will see “Administration” as one of the options in the Menu that appears next.
Next, open the connection flow and follow it's instructions. Make sure to only select the fields that you require. Then click "Continue".
Enter the subdomain of your company. (Do not paste “kombo-dev, this is just a demo example).
2. Set up an Inbound Integration
Continue following the connection flow to set up an integration
From the Administration view, go to “Settings” in the top panel.
Click on the Plus button next to “Inbound Integration”.
Set up your inbound integration by filling out the fields as follows:
Copy the tenant name from the connection flow (following the schema “Your_company Integration”) and paste it is as the External application name.Select “HRM integration” for the Added access areas.
Leave Application ID and Authentication endpoint URI blank.
Then checkmark the “Active” box and click “Create”.
3. Generate an Access Token
With the "inbound integration" set up, it's time to create an access token.
At the bottom of the page a new Generate access token button should have appeared — click on it.
For Access token name, enter “Kombo Demo Token”.
Leave Grant user roles access to as-is — no changes to be made here.
For Token valid until, copy and paste the following date (or the furthest available date — this determines how long the integration stays active): 17/07/2026.
Then click Create.
In the dialog that appears, select Yes.
The new token will be displayed. Press Click to copy and paste it into the connection flow. Then click “Set up integration”.
Congratulations! Your connection is set up.
