SuccessFactors supports two ways to define required fields for job applications: modern screening questions and legacy job application templates. An organization uses job application templates (common in enterprises with years of SuccessFactors usage); you might need to configure the XML to ensure the correct screening questions are showing up.
Different templates may have other required fields based on country, job type, or internal vs external candidates. Applications may fail validation or show incorrect field requirements without proper template configuration.
Download the XML for each job application template from SuccessFactors (Admin Center → Manage Templates → Job Application Templates → click version number → Download XML).
Downloading the Template XML
- Log in to SAP SuccessFactors and search for "Manage Templates":
Check out which Job Requisition template and which Job Application template apply.
We will need the name of each Job Requisition template, together with the XML content of the job application template. Find the association between Job Requisition & Job Application templates on the Job Requisition template.
- Next go to "Job Application" on the templates overview:
- Click the Version of the template you would like to get the XML for:
- In the dialog that now opens, click "Download" on the latest version:
- Upload the relevant templates into their respective slots in the Kombo dashboard under the integration's settings.
