Connecting your Account
- Select Rippling from the configuration dropdown menu.
- Open the SCIM Configuration.
- Log in to the Rippling Admin Dashboard.
- On the sidebar, select IT, then Third-Party Access.
- In Third-Party Access, select Add Integration, then select Create New Custom Integration.
- On the Create new integration page, enter the following:
- Name: as displayed in the connection flow
- Choose relevant Categories
- Upload a Logo
- Select User Management via SCIM, then Continue
- Set SCIM Version to 2.0.
- Paste the SCIM Tenant URL from the connection flow into Rippling as SCIM base URL
- Set SCIM Authorization Method to: Bearer Token.
- Check the following options:
- Supports Groups
- Mutually Exclusive Groups
- Supports Pagination
- Create & Delete Groups
- Use PATCH to edit Groups
- Supports Groups
- Under Supported SCIM Attributes, add:
- externalId
- emails.primary
- name.givenName
- name.familyName
- employeeNumber
- Click Install now.
- Select Yes, I’ll install this integration or invite your administrator to complete these steps.
- Paste the Bearer Token from the connection flow into the field in Rippling.
- The next two steps App Access Rules and Provision Time can be configured based on your preferences.
- On Attribute Mappings:
- Set cadence for all attributes to On user creation and updates
- Set cadence for all attributes to On user creation and updates
- You can now click Test Connection in the connection flow.
- Provision your users in rippling:
- To sync users and groups, assign them to the Rippling application.
- Match existing users or create a new application account for the appropriate users.
