Prerequisites
Before getting started, please carefully read the following to make sure you fulfil all requirements for the integration to work:
In order to set up the integration with Abacus, you must at least have access rights to the following UI elements:
- Abacus API Integration wizard (Q910)
These permissions are usually reserved for the Abacus Vertriebspartner.
Find your Abacus URL
Enter your Abacus URL. This is the URL in the address bar when logged into your Abacus instance.
Find your Mandant ID
Enter your Mandant ID. You can find it at the top of your Abacus Application.
Create API credentials
1. Open the Abacus API Integration wizard (Q910) and create a new connection.
2. Enter meaningful information on the first page.
3. For Log in type select User-independent.
4. Copy your Client ID and Client secret, you will need them later.
5. Add your Mandanten ID under client:
6. Our connection flow will dynamically show the required scopes. Enter the scopes shown in your flow, not the ones shown in this example picture:
Request Abacus API activation
- Still in the Abacus API Integration wizard (Q910) click on Apply for authorization in the top right corner.
- Select a file location and press Next
- Review your the details and press Next
- Read and accept the Terms of Use and press Next
- Press Close
- Send the the JSON file to abacus-api@abacus.ch.
- After receiving the signed file click on Import authorization
- Select the signed file from Abacus and press Next
- Click on Close
Enter your Abacus credentials to finalise the connection
- Enter your Client ID and Client secret from earlier:
