Prerequisites
Before getting started, please carefully read the following to make sure you fulfill all requirements for the integration to work:
To set up this integration, you must have the necessary permissions to access the "Security Console."
In addition, your account must have the following roles to complete the setup.
- ORA_PER_RECRUITING_ADMINISTRATOR_JOB
- ORA_ASM_APPLICATION_IMPLEMENTATION_ADMIN_ABSTRACT
To find out how to access the "Security Console," please follow the first steps under Permissions below.
If you don't have access, please contact whoever has the necessary permissions in your company before continuing.
Find you Oracle Recruiting Cloud API Domain
- Log into your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance.
- Copy the URL, and paste it into the connection flow:
Create an API User
- Click on the 3-bar menu in the top left of your Oracle Recruiting Cloud instance:
- Next, scroll down to "Tools" open the menu, then go to "Security Console":
- Click on the "Users" tab and then click on "Add User Account":
- Fill in the necessary information, and save the values of "User Name" and "Password" as they are needed later, and click "Save and Close":
User Name - "ASSESSMENT_API_USER" - Click on the "Roles" tab, and click on the "Create Role" button:
- Fill in the necessary information, and click on "Next":
Role Name - "Assessment Integration API User"
Role Code - "ASSESSMENT_INTEGRATION_API_USER_ROLE"
Role Category - "Default" - On the next page:
1. Click on the "Add Function Security Policy" button.
2. Search for "ORA_IRC_REST_SERVICE_ACCESS_CANDIDATE_ASSESSMENTS" in the popup.
3. Click on the "Add Selected Privileges" button, and then close the popup. - Click on the "Next" button until you've reached the "Users" step:
- In the "Users" step:
1. Click on the "Add User" button.
2. Search for the user you created earlier (step 4), "ASSESSMENT_API_USER" in this example in the popup.
3. Click on the "Add User to Role" button, and then close the popup. - Click on the "Next" button and then, the "Save and Close" button.
- Go back to the connection flow, and fill in the "User Name" and "Password" of the user you created. Click on "Continue":
Import Configuration Package
- Download the configuration package from the connection flow:
- Go back to Oracle Recruiting Cloud, and click on your profile picture on the top right of the page:
- Click on "Setup and Maintenance" in the dropdown:
- Open the "Tasks Panel" by clicking the highlighted button below:
- Click on "Manage Configuration Packages" from the sliding menu:
- Click on the "Upload" button under the "Search Results" section:
- Click on the "Browse..." button and select the ZIP file you've downloaded from the connection flow:
- You should be able to check the package details by clicking the "Get Details" button; click the "Submit" button on the top right of the page to upload the package:
- You will be redirected back to the "Manage Configuration Packages" page. Click on the "Import Setup Data" button under the "Export and Import Processes" section of the package you've uploaded in the previous step:
- Click on the "Submit" button on the top right of the "Import Setup Data: Enter Basic Information" page:
- You will be redirected back to the "Manage Configuration Packages" page. The import process of the configuration package will start and please wait until its "Status" has turned into "Completed successfully":
Setup Assessment Partner
- Click on your profile picture on the top right of the page:
- Click on "Setup and Maintenance" in the dropdown:
- Click on the "Recruiting and Candidate Experience" tab in the dropdown on the top left of the page:
- Select the "Recruiting and Candidate Experience Management" tab under "Functional Areas" and click on the "Recruiting Category Provisioning and Configuration" task:
- Click on the "Pencil" button next to the logo of your assessment partner:
- In the "Edit Assessment Partner" page, paste the values of "Reference Key", "Client ID" and "Client Secret" from the connection flow into the "Details" section. Click on the "Save" button on the top right corner of the screen:
- On the same page, click on the "Assign User Account" button in the "Users Accounts" section:
- Paste the value of "User Name" the connection flow into the popup, and click on the "Save" button:
- You should see the user account has been created under the "Assign User Account" section:
Please note: your assessment packages should appear shortly after the integration is set up. - Click on the "Activate" button at the top right of the page to activate the assessment partner:
- Go back to the connection flow and click on "Set up integration":
