Prerequisites

Please carefully read the following to make sure you fulfill all the requirements to set up the integration:

• You need the BI Administrator permission to proceed with this guide

Instructions

Setup the SFTP server connection

1. Log into your Oracle BI Administration Portal and click on Manage Publisher
   
   
2. Under the Delivery section click on FTP
   
3. Click on Add Server
   
   
4. Enter a descriptive Server Name and all the credentials received by Kombo
   
5. Click on Test Connection to verify the credentials
   
6. If the connection test was successful, click Apply
   
   

Setup the custom Data Model

1. In the Oracle BI Administrator Portal, click on Create then Data Model
   
   
2. Click on the + Icon, then on SQL Query
   
   
3. Give the data set a descriptive Name, select the correct Data Source, and write the SQL Query describing the data you want to share.
   
4. Click on OK
5. Click on View Data, then on View
   
   
6. Click on Save As Sample Data and confirm the prompt with OK
7. Click on Validate to see if there are any errors.
   
8. Click on the Save As Icon and save it to a descriptive location
   

Setup the custom Report

1. Click on Create Report within the custom Data Model you just created
   
2. Leave the default settings and click on Next
   
   
3. Leave the default settings and click on Next again
   
   
4. Drag and drop the data points into the report, then click Next
   
   
5. Click on Finish and save it to a descriptive location
   
   

Configure a schedule for the custom Report

1. After saving the Report it should open automatically. If not, open it manually (this may take some time).
2. Click on the Gear Icon and on Schedule
   
   
3. Open the Output tab
   
4. For Format select HTML, then select FTP as Destination Type, and click on Add Destination
   
   
5. Select the SFTP Server configured earlier, the directory as "/", and a file name describing the data you are sending. For example, "seniority_date_report.html"
   
   
6. Open the Schedule tab
   
7. Set the Frequency to Daily and select a suitable runtime. Set the End date to be in the future.
   
8. Click on Submit
   
   
9. Give the Report Job a descriptive name and click on OK
