When adding attachments to applicants or candidates, either during the creation process or after that, it can happen that you receive a "The file type of file cv.pdf is not supported by this Umantis instance" error. Here are the resolution steps for this issue.
Prerequisites
Before getting started you need frontend Admin access to the Umantis instance.
Resolution Steps
- Click on the Cog icon in the top right of your Umantis instance (next to your profile picture).
- Click on "Main settings".
- At the top select "Security Settings".
- Press the edit button on top right of the settings card.
- Enable the file extension under "File extensions" in both lists.
- Make sure to click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
