Prerequisites

You need to be an Admin in Sapling. If at any point in this connection guide you cannot access a described setting, it is most likely because you don’t have sufficient permissions. If you are no Admin, please reach out to your Administrator or IT department.

Instructions

Enter your subdomain in the connection flow

To find your subdomain, please log into your Sapling instance. Then, look at the address bar in your browser. The URL is either your-company.kallidus-suite.com or your-company.saplingapp.io. The subdomain in either case would be “your-company”.

Navigate to the API keys page

The page can be opened by selecting Administration Tools > Integrations.

Next, open the API keys tab at the top of the page:

Create the API key

Press the Create API key button (see bottom right of the image above). In the window that opens, enter a name for the API key and select “Automatically renew the API key when a call is made to that key”.

If you do not select this checkbox you will have to recreate the API key and reconnect the instance every 90 days.

Enter the API key in the connection flow

Now copy the API key and enter it in the connection flow. Press Set up integration and wait for the confirmation that the connection has been established.
